The Internet is Growing

First, people always think it’s too late.

Whether it’s 2011 and they’re poking around Twitter or it’s 2015 and they’re wondering about the future of YouTube, people always think the internet has peaked and wonder if it’s worth their time and effort.

The truth is, the internet is still growing. Expanding. Changing, always.

Need some statistics to convince you?

According to Oberlo.com, 3.78 Billion people are daily social media users. That’s almost half the world population.

Hootsuite.com tells us that Instagram continues to experience a 43% growth in traffic each year.

TikTok was the #1 most downloaded app in 2020 with 689 million people on it.

YouTube was the 3rd most popular Google search in 2020.

Yes, even if its growth has slowed, Facebook still has it’s place in our hearts.

It still has a  3% growth in traffic year after year with 67% of millennials visiting Facebook daily (2nd after YouTube).

These statistics are trending up.

Yes, even in 2021.

Which brings us to the next reason it’s not too late to be online…

Your People Are Online

Beyond all statistics, this is what matters most.

Even if 99% of the world stopped using every social media platform, but your people still checked in and interacted with one another on it, it would be worth it for you to be on it.

At Digivangelism, we’re constantly encouraging people to GO where their people are.

If your people are still online, it’s not too late for you to be too.

Know Why You’re Online

While we’re all about you BEING online, we’re also all about you knowing WHY you are online.

You’re going to need this in your back pocket at all times.

Because if you’re asking whether or not it’s too late for you to get online, chances are you may be wondering if it’s too late for you to grow your reach online.

The answer is still no, but it sure is a lot more competative than it used to be.

Don’t let growth be your goal though.

Know why you are embracing each social media platform you step digital foot on, every webpage you create.

It’s not to become an influencer pastor or go viral.

It’s to reach your community and beyond with hope, healing, and light in your own unique way.

At least, we hope so!
