There is a major problem with some social media platforms.
Okay, “major problem” may just be a tad dramatic for this particular issue, but we’re not happy about it.
The problem is some social media platforms don’t allow for multiple links to be shared in your profile. This is an issue if you have anything you want to link to other than your central website.
And, unfortunately, most of the big hitters like Instagram and TikTok maintain this one-link option.
Thankfully, the Internet wizards of the world have given us many an application like the one we’ll be talking about today, LinkTree.

What’s a LinkTree?
Linktree is a free website that allows you to direct your people to one central link that organizes other links they may be interested in. There are multiple sites out there like LinkTree that offer this service. Some of them have additional opportunities for customization.
Using a service like Linktree solves the pesky issue of there only being one opportunity to share a link on multiple social media platforms.
It’s also super easy to change the links offered at this central link, so you can always add new ones and delete old ones.
Uses for LinkTree
As mentioned, LinkTree can be helpful for popular social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. Pinterest and Twitter are two additional platforms where having a LinkTree would come in handy.
Beyond social media profile links, having a centralized link can be helpful to connect interested folks to what you are up to on multiple platforms all at once. If someone wants to know what your community has been up to, you can connect them to all of your social media profiles, your website, your partners’ websites, your podcast, your most recent promotional video, and more – all with one click!
This can be especially helpful if you do not have a website already in place.
Did we mention it was FREE?
What Links Could Ministries Put in their LinkTree?
Great question!
Website
Yes, you can definitely use a LinkTree even if you have a whole personalized website created for your ministry. A LinkTree allows for some easy quick clicks to help users get where they want to be… which might just be your website!
Mailing List Subscription Link
Encourage your followers to jump on your mailing list with a link that allows them to opt into your regular emails.
Podcast or YouTube Channel
Add your podcast/YouTube channel link so that you can always direct people to the “link in your bio” if they want to see your latest episode/video without needing to constantly share the latest link.
Ministry Partners
A LinkTree is a great place to lift up some of the causes and organizations that are important to you! Any website link can be shared in a LinkTree link, so don’t be shy about connecting your followers with other sites that they might value.
Leader Profiles
Another use for LinkTree is adding your leadership’s personal websites or social media profiles to a link. This allows people to connect to the other things their pastor and staff might be up to in the world.
