One thing I wish churches knew about content creation, huh?

I wish churches knew that they could easily post more with less effort.

How so?

Simply post the same type of posts each week.

Subscribe below and we’ll see you next week!

Just kidding, let’s go on.

Although, please do subscribe if this sounds at all helpful for your community – we post this stuff every single week.

See, posting the same types of posts means less time making decisions about what to post, less time designing, less time guessing what people will interact with.

You make those decisions ahead of time, often based on your current analytics of what your people already interact well with. And then you commit to that system.

Need an example?

Let’s say you decide to make one post every single day.

And yes, you can batch AND schedule these posts ahead of time.

Monday you post a quote from Sunday’s sermon, just a chunk of text in a pre-designed format. Maybe you even design two or three formats so that you have some styles to rotate?

By Tuesday, you actually pull some footage from that sermon that you recorded. Post 20-40 seconds as a Reel/TikTok/YouTube Short. Don’t forget those captions!

Wednesdays, you do a video check-in. Facebook, YouTube, IG Stories, wherever makes sense for you. You follow the same format every week, perhaps even answering the same one or two or three questions. This is just a way for people to get to know you a little better outside of a weekly message or teaching.

Thursday is for Behind-the-Scenes. At this point in the week, there was bound to be at least one thing that happened that you can tell about. An office story or activity that took place in the community that you can tell about through photo or video in some way.

Friday – teach us something. Fun Fact Friday – make it a video. Have other members share fun facts. Make them churchy, make them nothing to do with church.

Saturday – Keep it light, maybe a gif, maybe a meme, it could be a general message of encouragement. Remind your people to rest and then… rest a bit yourself!

Sunday – Yes, you can post related to worship. You can post the service, the sermon, heck, you ARE allowed to make announcement posts about all the good stuff your community is doing. We just don’t want you to make those the ONLY types of posts you are making.

And somehow, we’re already back at Monday.

By implementing systems and routines into your content creation, your church can post MORE with LESS effort.
